thefuturepastBackground: Aura Solaris of Clan Atropos grew up wanting to be a guidance couselor. Instead, like all children of Moiria, when she was born, the mystical Elder Counsolers making up the Council of Ananke--one elder from each of the clans, Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos--foretold her fate.
The representative from Clotho made certain that her birth occured and that the precursers that make her strong willed and couragous were present, likely as attributes from her parents who were encouraged to marry after consulting the oracle. The representative from Clan Lachesis said that she would live just as long as was needed to fulfil her destiny but not a moment later. With grim determination but with a soothing voice, the representative from Clan Atropos said that she would bring death to the Unforeseen enemy before "drowning in the ocean of eternity". With these predictions, Aura Solaris was fated to become part of the planet's miltary force, where she rose through the ranks and joined the super elite unit within solely dedicated to protecting the planet from the Unforeseen.
With her planet being relatively peaceful, her unti was sent to fight in foreign wars and dangerous expeditions to gain experiance in battle. After she survived that, she was instructed to join the Time Agency and use their technology and resources to find the "wrinkle in time" in human history in which their enemies hid and amasses their forces. So she worked at the Time Agency (gaining the pseudonym "Eva Halo") as a Time Agent until the Agency closed down. During that time, she infiltrated Torchwood London in order to research rift activity and discrepencies in the Time Vortex to try to find the wrinkle in time. Unfortunately, Torchwood London thought she was an alien because her human DNA was changed by her home planet and they "altered" her (brainwashed) to protect Queen and Country, which she did ever so effectively. The programming was broken in the middle of the Battle of Canary Wharf against the Cyberman when she stumbled upon a decrepid and very aged Atropos, imprisioned in the vaults of Torchwood London, who was there to warn her of her failure if she didn't remember who she really was. When Eva asked her how she managed to time travel, Atropos didn't answer, said "see you" and died. Eva fought her way out of Torchwood, literally missing running into the Doctor by one seperating corridor.
She's been laying low but continues to influence the lives of the clans human predecessors in hopes that it will help their future generations fight the Unforeseen while trying to find the wrinkle in time.
Personality: Eva Halo tries to hang onto whatever is left of her humanity with a light grip. From her perspective, to hold onto it too tightly means that she wouldn't be able to preform her very difficult and often violent task at trying to help save her race and planet from annhilation. But whatever she still has she uses to propell herself forward and work harder toward the end of finding a way to save her people. She is like a pointed laser, focused on one path and one goal, sometimes to the fault of not being able to see the broader picture. However, paradoxically, her very determination to save her race may in fact be her greatest human quality (although she doesn't see that). She works doggedly because any deviation from her mission for social or recreational reasons brings about a great sense of guilt. How can she rest or enjoy life when her race is in peril? As a result, she can be impatient and reactive. Eva is couragous and takes great risks even with her "immortality" (note that her race isen't truely immortal) and while she understands morality and ethics and is--from the audiences perspective--a good person, she is hardly a law abiding citizen of the universe herself. Although she has never crossed her own timeline, she has manipulated others on the orders of the Time Agency.
Abilities: (From planet's sentience force--"Ambrosium") Rapid healing, slow aging, super human strength and a sort of telepathy between her people (only) where they know through the sentient network what is generally going on within their society. From Clan Atropos: the ability to see when and how a person will die and whether their "fate" has been fulfilled (only works on those that are or had some sort of human DNA. The gift follows on the path of their human past, present and future as the Moirai.) She's a warrior and pretty well versed in weapons, fighting and strategy.
Technology: Vortex manipulator. [That's what allows her to time travel and teleport.]
Note: These abilities and major occurances that gave her access to time travel have been moments in the ancient past that have been manipulated so that her and the Moirai could have the tools to fight the Unforeseen in the future. The Moirai used to be a advanced human colony without these abilities, but the result of their ancestors time travel turned them into this. They don't realize this though since the past has essentially been rewritten and the future (where they all perish in the war with the Unforeseen hasn't happened yet---although it did in the past. Get it? Great! ;))
Weaknesses: (1) Seeing peoples deaths before they happen while potentially useful doesn't make for a great deal of sanity, especially when you know that your entire race might die. If the war starts while she is still time traveling to sort everything out than she's going to feel a lot of deaths, and with the sentient force of her planet linking all her people then who knows what that will do. (2) She's "super human" but not immortal. Although it takes a lot to kill her, she's pretty much not coming back if you cut her head off or something. (3) Her mind's been comprised once already by Torchwood London. (4) She can get stuck in time.
