War: The Unforeseen

Our legends tell of an enemy that appeared out of the sky without warning and without provocation. For a people with the ability to see our fate, we cannot say that we saw this coming, which was...is, alarming and strange. Therefore the enemy earned the name the Unforeseen. Oddly enough none of the legends or stories passed down to us describe what this enemy looks like, their capabilities or why they destroyed us. All we know is that they had been here before--sort of. The legend says that ages ago the Unforeseen attacked our planet and nearly killed us all. Three members of the three great families escaped and traveled back in time (and how they managed this is a mystery in and of itself) to ensure that we would survive. So in a way, the war hasn't happened yet . And I have to find out who they are and what happened in order to prevent us from annihilation...again.
