The Time Agency Connection

Evelyn joined the Time Agency in the latter part of its existance with the belief that the protection the whole of humanity gave her a better chance of saving its future and, therefore, their evolutionary track that would lead some of them to become the Moirae. Not to mention that their resources and knowledge could help her in her quest.

Her belief that there is a wrinkle in human history/time and that in the fold evil is amassing its forces wasn't shared by the Time Agency who believed that if that was the case, they'd see it. She was ordered to abort her quest. She suspected that someone in the agency was corrupt and was helping to cover up the wrinkle in time. It became very dangerous for her there but she was so focused on finding out the truth that will save her people that she couldn't see the larger picture.

The Time Agency suspected that she was traveling timelines without authorization and that she was using their means to her ends. Before it closed down, Eva stole some of their technology, resources and equipment to help her move forward (or backward as it were) with her quest.  

The corrupt agent is still at large.
